WOUND "and nothing will be the same" c20 review on ADHOC.FM!
AD HOC - Who Has Tapes Anymore? #11 (July 15, 2014)Wound: And Nothing Will Be The Same (Spirit Throne)
Among all the other great releases in Spirit Throne Tapes’ new batch, Wound’s “And Nothing Will Be The Same” really stood out. I was previously unaware of the workd of Italy's Massimo Onza, but his explorations in the darker atmosphere of ambient/noise is right up my alley. Playing a variety of contact mics and synths with tape manipulation elements and effects, he conjures a subterranean kingdom in the sediment. Deep droning bristles lay on top of dull stabs of distortion and feedback. The B-side’s “Broken Words” opens beautifully with a minimalistic and cavernous crawl through low end rumblings and distorted oscillations. Creeping along, the track rises slowly to a motor like cadence before finally giving out, inches from the surface.

WOUND "breathing the void" c20 (TEEN ACTION, 2014) review on SODAPOP!
sull'etichetta americana Teen Action.
uscite a vario nome (Tronco, Compoundead
Il lato A è composto dal brano The Sound Of Nerves,
In entrambi i casi i

Wound "Breathing The Void" c20 review on CASSETTE GODS!
Wound "Breathing The Void" c20 (Teen Action)
Brash new album from Italy's WOUND. This is some grim, outsider low-end experimentation in the vein of early BSBC and the more lulled TG works.
Side A creeps like a black sludge, slowly sliding down a dank basement wall. A sinister hiss stays in the shadows, yet has a quietly menacing vibe. Subwoofer recommended.
Side B lunges at you with a bit more brute force, a dense sub drone lingers in static, and just as the deep sinking feeling begins to set in, you are blindsided by harsh reverb swells and ricocheted thuds and percussive cracks. This is industrial music for the after-after hours, and I can't wait to hear more.
